Lake Day

Yesterday I spent all day on Greers Ferry Lake with friends. I do enjoy the good times I spend with them. I hadn't been tubing in a while, but I thought I would partake yesterday. I realize, today, just how old I am getting. My body hurts so badly. I seriously can't walk down the hall faster than some of the 70 year old men that work in my building.

But in the end, the beautiful weather and memories with friends, I guess you could say, makes it all worth it in the end.

I call this one, "My next door neighbor has a cute dog."

And well, I guess this one is called, "My next door neighbor has a cute dog #2." (my creative juices aren't flowing freely today).

These are a few pics from Brecca Holloway's first birthday party. It was quite hysterical. The cake was a bright pink and the dye from the icing dyed her skin. (In some of the pictures, I edited the color and it appears light pink.) Sara (Brecca's mom) said that her skin was pink for a WEEK! I'm glad I was able to go and experience this time with Sara and Brecca. And I got some great shots. Check em out.

home

I'm home in Minden for a few days. This will always be my home, but how, I'm not quite sure. I also call 1601 N Bryant Street my home in LR. I'm not sure why. All my "stuff" is there. My family is here in Minden. My past is here. My future could be either place. Everytime I come home (Minden home) people ask me when I'm moving back home. But when I go back to Little Rock, I think I am home. I love Little Rock. But Minden has its own essence of familiarity and friendliness. I don't have to explain myself in Minden. They already know. They just know me. And that is comforting. In Minden I am tied to my family which in Minden, is huge. Family is everything in a small town. If you don't have family, you don't have anyone. I am blessed to be associated with the best family in Minden. Seriously. If you don't know us, you should. We're pretty cool. :)

I guess, basically, I'm saying that it's nice to be home. Wherever home happens to be at the time.
